SECONDARY SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER
2021-2022 School Year
The Craig County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for special education teaching positions that are available within our division for the 2021 - 2022 school year.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold a current Virginia Teacher’s License with appropriate endorsement in the area to which assigned (Special Education - General Curriculum K-12 or Adaptive Curriculum K-12).
- Have effective written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Have knowledge of medical aspects of disabilities and their implications for instruction
- Have knowledge of resources and techniques needed to integrate special education students into the least restrictive environment
- Have experience in curriculum development and developing lesson plans
- Have experience and expertise in using technology in education
- Have experience or working familiarity with Goggle Drive for instruction, collaboration and course work
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, and families
- Demonstrate the ability to be dependable and punctual
Salary: 2021 - 2022 Teacher salary scale with benefits
FLSA: Exempt
