HIGH SCHOOL HISTORY/SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER

SCHOOL YEAR 2026 - 2027

Assignment: Craig County High School

 

The Craig County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for a high history/school social studies teaching position available within our division for the 2026 - 2027 school year.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher’s License with appropriate endorsement to teach history at the high school level
• Have experience in curriculum development and developing lesson plans
• Have experience and expertise in using technology in education
• Have experience or working familiarity with Google Drive for instruction, collaboration and course work
• Have effective written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with parents and families 

 

Salary:  2026 - 2027 Teacher salary scale with benefits

 

FLSA: Exempt
